Family Mediators
Family Mediation is a cooperative, managed process where a neutral third person, the mediator, helps couples define the issues, facilitates discussion and helps them negotiate a solution. Our mediators are specially trained to help people resolve conflict. Family Law Mediators must be qualified under the Family Law Act, and have related expertise—for example, the may also be lawyers or mental health professionals. You and your partner share the cost of the mediator, and you may have lawyers attend the mediation. The couple, with the mediator, may also decide they want an expert such a child specialist or a financial planners to attend the mediation to help resolve specific issues. Our Family Law Mediators can work with you to decide how to best structure the mediation to help reach resolution.
