Family Lawyers
We have lawyers who are knowledgeable and experienced in guiding clients to reasonable and workable legal solutions, without resorting to court. Some of our family lawyers are also trained as collaborative lawyers, family law mediators, and family law arbitrators. Some offer Independent legal advice as well as unbundled legal services, and can help you negotiate, draft a separation agreement or legalize your divorce. Some of our family lawyers will go to court and attend hearings. It can be reassuring to speaking to a lawyer to get legal advice and help you understand your legal options.
Who is suited for the dispute resolution out of court?
• Couples who are willing to negotiate.
• Couples who are open to creative and individual solutions.
• Couples who want to minimize the uncertainty and hurt of uncoupling for themselves, each other, and their children.
What is a collaborative family law process?
Collaborative family law is a process in which everyone agrees to collaborate toward solutions that work for both parties and agree not to go to court. Each party has a collaborative lawyer, signs a participation agreement and sometimes works with other other experts. If an agreement is not reached, the lawyers are not allowed to represent the participants in court and they have to get new lawyers if they go to court.
